First Up – something for the weekend.
It just so happens we have some rather nice mussels at the moment. We thought it would be nice to do something special with them and we’ve come up with this tempting little treat:
Between now and the end of the Bank Holiday weekend (or until we’ve sold out) pop up any lunch time or evening and treat yourself to some “Moules-frites” and we’ll give you a free glass of white or rose wine for accompaniment. As simple as that!

Sorry, we should have mentioned this before, but better late than never. We are members of the ‘Eat Out Locally’ scheme, which entitles members to a special discount on all food (excluding other offers), Monday-Thursday, on an ongoing basis. To join costs £10 a year, you can use the discount as often as you like and, all in all, it’s good value. (There are loads of other local pubs and restaurants in the scheme too, but why you’d want to visit them rather than the Maltsters we just don’t know!)
